This year, we will delve into the concept of Object Relations through Lacan’s teachings in his Seminar IV.

While post-Freudian analysts often emphasized the role of the object, Lacan shifts the focus to the lack of the object. It is this lack that enables the subject, through paternal intervention, to transition from lack to desire.
